Brian Lamb

Brian Lamb, OBE has held Director level posts in campaigning and advocacy in both Scope and RNID. He now runs a consultancy on campaigning, policy and communications for both voluntary and community organisations and public sector organisations. He has worked extensively on Government and ministerial working groups. He was chair of a national coalition on and led a national independent Inquiry into special educational needs. He has also written widely on campaigning, evaluation and policy issues and lectures on campaigning and voluntary sector effectiveness. Brian is also author of several NCVO guides on campaigning including the new Good Guide to Campaigning and Influencing.

Jonathan Ellis

Jonathan Ellis has been Director of Policy and Development at the Refugee Council for the past four years. Previously Jonathan has been Campaigns Manager for Oxfam GB where he led on their global campaigns and was Chief Executive of the Empty Homes Agency for five years where he led the successful campaign for legislation on empty home which resulted in major changes to the Housing Act in 2004.  He is author of the NCVO guide  Campaigning for Success: how to cope if you achieve your campaign goal.

Alice Farr and Kaye Brennan from the Woodland Trust

Alice is currently WoodWatch campaigner at the Woodland Trust, a UK wide campaign that helps communities speak up and protect their local woods and trees working to empower people at a grass roots level to campaign. She is also the SMK’s 2010 ‘Environment’ Campaigner award winner.

Kaye has been the Campaigner for the Woodland Trust for over 3 years where she leads on planning and delivering campaigning actions across the UK. Kaye has a wealth of experience combining both on-line and off-line tools to engage thousands of people. Outside of work Kaye is involved in a range of community action  reducing plastic bag use and introducing composting and water conservation into her local town; setting up an annual ‘Big Lunch’ in her neighbourhood and developing activities around the global ‘Compassionate Cities’ agenda in Nottinghamshire.

Lucy Jaffe

Lucy Jaffe currently works for Rockhill Communications and specialises in communication strategies and ICT advice. Lucy has been Trustee of the Women’s resource centre for the past four years. Formerly, Lucy ran a software company and prior to that worked at Reunite – National Council for Abducted Children as national coordinator.

Lee Webster

Lee Webster is currently Campaigns Manager for Care International UK, prior to this Lee was Senior Campaigns Officer at Leonard Cheshire Disability. Lee has a wealth of experience and enthusiasm in campaigning with particular interest in building in meaningful beneficiary or user involvement into campaigns and supporting campaign groups and issues around building solidarity and southern social movements.
